NO dimension bigger than N900. I want a phone not a tablet. No need for >3,7" screen
hdmi
hwkb
specs better than N900, but no need for multicore monster hw
less closed parts than maemo5
flash 10 BY ADOBE with long term update support

I want:
- At least 4" but prefer up to 4.5" with qHD resolution.
- At least dual core ARM or Intel Medfield CPU.
- At least 768MB RAM but want 1GB
- At least 16GB internal flash + MicroSD slot
- HW Keyboard
- Decent camera that can do up to 1080p video recording.
- HDMI out
- USB host
- Video codecs to play pretty much all video formats.
- MicroB!

Well, you will find that most of things on the list are possible and do exist already.

- SGS2 has probably the best display of all mobile phones at 4.3".
- Atrix has a qHD resolution 4" display and even a fingerprint reader.
- LG Optimus 3D has dual-lense 3D camera and 3D parallex display.
- All of them have dual core cpu and fast gpu and are 1080p capable.
- Some already have 1GB RAM and even 1GB ROM space.
- But NONE of them have these specs "with" a hardware keyboard!!!

I really hope N950 has a hw keyboard. But I have a feeling that it won't....

Edited the above a bit since it was close to what I'd go for.

I'd add
- I don't want a hardware keyboard, I want Haptikos and dual 4in screens
- just use the camera & algorithms from the N8
- up the battery to 1800mAh
- and the UI to be much tighter than on MeeGo (current) and Maemo5.

Besides all the good things on the N900, some of the things i would welcome on a N950 would be:

Dual analog sticks/pads/nubs
Resistive multitouch.
A more open high resolution high FPS camera hadware
Faster and better graphics and audio acceleration hardware
Out of the box capacity to run Symbian binnaries without the need for multibooting.
Four rows QWERTY keyboard
Designed such that using the keyboard and other buttons for gaming doesn't need to be so awkward
Speakers at the very least as loud and good sounding as on the N73 positioned such holding the device doesn't cover the speakers killing most of the sound.
Cable ports that don't get in the way of holding the device with the cables plugged
Multicore CPU
Way more root, programs and fast RAM memory
Dual rumble motors, each way stronger than the one in the N900 at full throttle
3 axial magnetomer
IR transceiver compatible with IRda and remote controls, with the emiter strong enough to be used as a night vision torch
Full duplex FM radio transceiver (to allow it be used as a walkietalkie), capable of transmitting strong enough to use with radio receivers without needing to be too close to them. And receiver capable of getting a clean signal without the need of an external antenna most of the time.
Full duplex completly software programable radios (the more the merrier) covering many different bands including WiFi, analog TV , RC toys etc (any that somewhere in the word people are allowed to transmit and/or receive without aquiring a license)
Discreet buttons in the back reacheable with the remaining fingers so you won't need to use just thumbs and leave the other finges iddling while playing games
Bigger screen without increasing the overall size too much.
Battery life of at least a whole day with heavy use.
USB OTG out of the box
Pico projector, laser, RGB, at least 16bpp and at least SVGA resolution (1024x768)
Decent "webcam"
3d (or really 2.5d , i don't expect volumetric sensing) depth/proximity sensing over the screen, for "multitouch" touchless input (mouse cursor hover, waving, flicking etc gestures etc, and if possible even scanning of objects)
High speed main camera (for nice slowmo shots)
Time of flight 3d photo and video capable main camera (kinda like http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...94784112768834 )
Kinda pushing it a bit, but an electronic nose capable of being used to identify all sorts of smells, like rotten food, BO, explosives etc would be awesomen to have; even better if it's stereo and with a fast SPS (smells per second ) rate to more easilly identify the source.
Programable aperture for the main camera ( like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ENfPYpkHp4 )
A microfone array to filter sounds by the position of source.
OS and underlying components (including fimware) as open as the law allows (or more if they can get away with it)
Some sort of (near)realtime 6dof motion tracking system (perhaps using the 3d video capabilities of the main camera to analyze point of view change in relation to the enviroment together with the accellerometer and magnetometer?)
GPS capable of at least centimeter resolution at a high framerate.
8-way 9 screens scrollable desktop (toroidal topology).
As compatible with desktop linuces(sp?) as possible.
Unobstrusive video-out (with a squidlike adapter cable for all sorts of plugs, HDMI, VGA, RCA, video component etc, software would control which standard to transmit on; cables dedicated to specific standards could be sold separatedly) . Even better if it also ce used for video-in, same deal with the standards.
Out of the box capability for being as a standard bluetooth (and USB) webcam.
Out of the box (near)realtime headtracking capability, perhaps by default used for eyecandy in the OS interface for paralaxing (rendering GUI elements in 3d, buttons really raised, textboxes sunk etc, shortcut icons floating above the background and so on, probably a good idea to keep things the user can click on at the screen plane so they don't move as much), image viewer could display images like as if the device was a window (kinda like that Johnny Lee demo with the panoramic photo of a stadium) etc.
Screen that actually takes advantage of ambient light, even under sunlight (with the backlight turned off it should look as close as possible to a piece of paper with the screen contents printed on, and not like an old Gameboy that just had the batteries pulled off)

These are just some of the things i would like, there are others besides these.

Ah, how about this: the main camera, pico projector, IR transceiver etc would be on a motorized, pan, til and roll, swivel thing at the corner, the motorization done in such a way that if a kid holds the device by the little horn and wip it back and forth nothing bad happens, it should be capable of aiming both out from the back of the device (the direction of the main camera in the N900), up ( the direction the IR port is facing on the N900), to the left (the up for portrait mode), to the front (the way the "webcam" is facing, to do this without wasting screen space, it would swing out instead of turning in place), to the right (same way as to the left, but turning about 180 degrees on the pitch axis), down (same was as to the front, but with pitch 90 degrees down). In the default position (like the main camera) and pointing up, it would be completly embeded inside the outline of the device, only swinging out when the view would obstructed by the rest of the device. Being motorized, it could cooperate with image stabilization reacting to the accell, magnetormer and gyrometer etc. Having the pico projector and the camera together would allow "touch" enabled, projection screens; with the IR transceiver, the emitter could be used for night vision, and the camera could be used to track the source of IR the device is talking with and adjust the aim for optimal communication. Perhaps to keep the lens safe, the module would stay with the lens facing inwards, and readinging the forces applied to it (like by a finger pushing it to rotate around the pitch axis, or pushing it in a bit) it would do a little twitch to tell the user to move away the finger and then rotate around exposing the camera, also programs would be able to tell it to power up and expose, and close back and power down, making it automatic. The motion would be done by servos (motors with sensors to identify the position they are currently in), so software always knows the exact position without the need of going all the way to an end and then moving back for an estimated amount of time. Being motorized would also allow for it to follow the user's face (for video conferencing for example). Also actually having a "head" capable of looking around and emitting light, that can even feel when you rub on it, would make it great for having an AI that can be more easilly anthropomorphized by people.

Obviouslly the system would be designed so all the motion won't wear out the contacts, wires ettc, preventing noise from happening from the parts moving.
