If we are talking about high end devices and flag ships.

Like 2mm charger plug in. I think there was good enough reasons to omit it after microUSB-standard came.
I get your point but I disagree.

In case of the N900 it can be argued that the 2mm charger port makes no difference. Notice though that on the N8 they had both. This allows for the N8 to both be charging and accessing an external USB hard drive at the same time. Now, let's say you're displaying HD movies on the N950 from an external drive. That will undoubtedly suck batteries quick. Even if the battery let's say is crazy and lasts 10 hours with HD playback that doesn't necessarily mean your battery will be sufficiently charged at the time you need it so having the option of external power is advantageous.

(moving away from the 2mm power port to what I'd like to see on the N950)

Now, let's say your external HDD has dozens of movies stored. The current USB functionality on the N8 as I understand it (I could be wrong) does not have the option of providing power to the USB device so the dongle needs power as well thus requiring two power adapters for extended playback of content. We could buy / bring multiple charging adapters but I think the better solution is to put a full USB 3.0 connector on the device itself in addition to the microUSB. This may make more sense in a tablet form factor but I suggest that this also makes sense in a disruptive platform like the N950 afterall we're running Linux right?

Other stuff I want to see:

Camera: f/1.8 or f/2 lens (fixed focal length). Sensor the same size as what was in the N8 except with 5 or 6 megapixels with ISO up to 1600 very clean. RAW support. If RAW not available individual control over chroma / luminance noise control.

If a bright lens is not available. f/2.8 lens with zoom with the lens mounted perpendicular to the current configuration. Using mirrors / prisms this would allow for internal zoom (see old Minoltas) and would allow for zooming and AF without the need to extend the lens. The other advantage is that the camera can be redirected (using mirrors / prisms) to record in front or in back. This would be for bloggers and video conferencers that want to record / broadcast themselves in HD.

I prefer having a keyboard but wouldn't mind having a candy bar if Nokia added connectors for external peripherals like the Atrix. I would instead love a laptop shell that has no trackpad and the phone slides in and becomes the laptops trackpad while powering the rest of the laptop like the Atrix. I still have no idea why Motorola decided to mount it the back.

I would also like to see a tablet shell. The resulting tablet would look more like the Nook with tablet on top and small display on the bottom but I think it would be interesting to have one device that can be a phone / tablet / netbook. The advantage of the shells are that they can basically be huge batteries powering the devices for hours on end.

VMWare - Wouldn't it be great to run Windows 7 / Android VM's? I would be great to be able to use Word or Lightroom and have quick access when I'm not next to my laptop and also add Android apps to round out native MeeGo based apps. At the end of the day the app vendors still make money right?

I want that when the N950 will be released and will have nice (or even good) specs, and a lot of people will buy it just because of the specs, those people won't come here whining about all sorts of things that the N950 lacks because it'll be more of a developers phone...

Seriously, I think we had enough whining about the N900 in these forums, we can really use a break
