The N900 has been out over a year now and still this community can not get a complete OS to work with no problems.

Has no one hacked in full the N900 yet?, this is just not going anywhere untill everything is opened up.

I have never had a complete OS working with no problems, from any manufacturer, ever.

Automobiles have been out for over a hundred years now and still they can't make one that won't break down... God damn it anyway!

It might be a dying platform as far as Nokia are concerned but if this community can get it together properly and open the N900 right up, i am sure we will have something worthwhile.

When all the closed components are hacked and fully opened by the members of this very community then the N900 is capable of just about any OS.

Come on guys get it together ok and hack this wide open.

Yes i fully agree with you on that one but you know as well as i do the N900 is capable of a lot lot more than Nokia has "allowed" it.

I only wish i had the knowledge on Linux to be able to hack it wide open.

Hacking is well within my capabilities but my brain nowerdays just cannot do the work needed to hack this N900 properly.

My point is very clear and that is to get every single component opened to allow programming without un-known derivatives in place.

Only when this is accomplished will we have Maemo at its best, i think you should very realise this.

EDIT... maybe something is staring everyone including me in the face but i know for sure the N900 is VERY hackable, i just want to see someone younger with more brain power do the work.
