[SIZE="2"]I've been quietly following the Nokia tablets ever since I drooled over the first shots of the 770 as it was being prepped for release. I had a 770 for a short period of time, but I somehow bricked it and returned it to Fry's. Afterward, I wasn't able to get back into them until this past week, where I bought a mint condition N800 for $200. The person had received it as a gift, and he had used it for all of about thirty minutes.

I'm no stranger to such devices. My addictions are currently as follows. I'm just listing the ones I think are closer in utility to the N800.

• Archos 605 Wifi (30GB)

I love all things gadget, tiny shiny and portable. I do get away from the screens, taking up road races and weight training to stay healthy. I enjoy a near-OCD hobby of music collection and organization. I dig shortwave radio and have always had a fascination with numbers stations.

I won't get too carried away with the intro. I do like long walks on the beach, candlelight dinner and romantic getaways.

At any rate, I'm glad to be a member, and I look forward to getting in on the discussions and activity.

If anyone's in the Atlanta area, a meetup would be cool.

If you haven't already, try out the N800's internet radio capabilities. My favourite network is the BBC, which has something like 40 or 50 live station streams plus rolling 1 week archives of each station's programmes all freely accessible through the web:

Listening to each station's "listen again" section is easy, just pick a programme and click on it. However, there's a slight kink on saving "listen live" streams, you have to open the stream, then ignore an error message, and then save the stream's link to the media library so that it shows on your desktop Internet Radio menu.
