hey guys my n800 just came in and its charging. anyhow i notice the battery cover is kind of loose, not enough for it to fall out, but still moves around a bit.

If it's any consolation it's the same with mine as well. I can also tell you that after about 8 months it still hasn't fallen off

i think it comes standard...havent seen any one (in 4different N800s) that didnt have a loose battery cover...

Mine is the same too and having bought the nokia cover with the magnet it seems to put it under more stress since it gets attached to this cover. The wobbling is quite annoying but doesn't seem that it will go off (I hope at least).

yeah, it seems to be normal.

Interestingly, there's a tiny magnet on the inside of the battery lid which is used to tell the N800 that the battery lid is closed. This is so the N800 can warn you before yanking out a memory card in use.

So don't lose your battery lid or your N800 won't know what's going on.

I just dropped about a 1 inch wide strip of folded paper under the lid, at the bottom edge so that it doesn't interfere with the magnet clearance. Tightened it right up, no more rattle.
