Apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum. Posted to the Newbie forum as this is my first post and I'm new at this (posting here and w/ playing with the N800). I wasn't sure if this was an App issue or if I got the installation procedure wrong.

I installed GCompris 8.4-5 using Application Manager. I did the same with the gscompris-sound-en file. The application didn't launch.
I tried to run it from an xterm.

Running: /usr/bin/gcompris -D
gives the following error:

I'd appreciate help with this. Running it as "user" on an xterm may have compounded the problem. Best I can tell the Plugins directory is invalid.
