Install CSSU and WVGA recording is smooth as it can be.

i am sorry but , I have not read anything on any site on that if you install this cssu = enable high-quality recording in maemo or
it is in meego 1.2 installed in maemo and hd recording?

AFAIK MeeGo on N900 does not have video recording at all, yet.
Maybe with MeeGO we can "port" "mod" HD recording? or decent WVGA ?
