FFMpeg is capable of trimming videos and audio. It's possible to make a GUI, but that's another case. However, it's easy to make simple scripts for these tasks. You can search up on how to use ffmpeg somewhere. (I have used it, and it's all alright, i tell you. 
)

true, ffmpeg can do it on the CLI
is there anything like this for n900?
i know there is online stuff that can do it quick but was looking for offline use too.
