So ok this is from my home network, the one I have always used with my N900 since I got the device. Today I get home from work and try to connect to my wifi and I get an error stating it is unable to obtain the IP address the wep maybe wrong. Weird, so I reboot the modem and the same problem persists. I delete the connection from my phone and reconnect and enter the wep once again, it connects. I go into connections and rename the network name and it disconnects and doesn't work. Repeat previous steps and no success. I try with my work issue phone and it connects fine, my roommate's ipad connects fine, only two devices that are powered on and connected...any ideas? I appreciate the help.

Could you:

1. reboot your phone

2. try to connect to the network

3. when it fails, open terminal and type
Code:
dmesg | tail -n 30
and post here the output?

Strange, my N810 connects, my workphone connects etc. I created a mobile hotspot and my N900 connects to it. The only thing it doesn't connect to, is my home network and every other device I have does. I have disconnected every device and my phone still will not connect....any ideas?

misiak thanks for your help, everything seems to be working fine now all of a sudden. If the problem reoccurs I will update this thread.

Does your router use MAC address control? If yes, is your N900's address added there properly? My router once "forgot" one of addresses from trusted devices list by itself (some router firmware bug I suppose).

Edit: could you read my previous post and post the output from that command? and also: is your N900 able to connect to other wifi networks succesfully?

Ok. What is your router's manufacturer btw? I have similar problems with my D-Link sometimes (everything apart from one device is able to connect, sometimes it's the phone and sometimes even pc and suddenly after few minutes everything works again...)
