Added options to resume radio after call and inizialize at start up (check settings window).

Recording can't be done, audio crashes after 10secs if recording. Well, QtMobility QRadioTuner audio crashes with a spit, not so new...

I'm sorry I can't help you, as I have written several times QRadioTuner from QtMobility is really unstable, and since I rely on it I can't do anything. Not to criticise it, it's cool to control the radio just within an object, but the maemo version is not working at 100% and support of QtMobility for fm radio has been removed.

To "solve" it I have made he autoscan not to start from 87.5 but from current freq, so if Radio scans till 102.4 and than it hangs, restart it and start another scan from 102.4.

EDIT: version 0.4.3 soon in extras-devel.

@Gionni, Recording is no longer necessary. I found an extras-devel plugin called "Recaller" and it does the job pleasantly.

Installed QRadio, works very well. But only one thing...
Why you have to start the radio manually???? Why doesn't it start when you open the application?
And is it possible the disable bluetooth when application is closed?

thanks anyway

Binary attached, just replace original in /opt/qradio while waiting autobuilder to work.
qradio_0.4.3_armel.zip (59.7 KB, 4 views)

tried also this one, doesn't work, app doesn't start...

I have put the sound at 100%, but after a few secs my ears were hurting so I won't remove that cap for precautions.

@N900@900MHz: it was 3posts before yours or in changelog, check settings window to enable autostart at startup.
Disabling bluetooth will require a system reboot or radio won't start next time, so I have removed auto disable at app exit.

@Musta susi: next version has 2digits for precision in manual tuning.

EDIT: @N900 again: probably you have forgotten to give executable rights to binary before launching it. Leave it anyway, on extra-devel there is 0.4.3 and soon 0.4.4 so no need to use that file, which I'll remove.

Update to last version (0.4.4) and you'll see them.

There is a problem w/ "Inizialize radio at start up." When you shut it off and disable bluetooth and then start the program up again....it won't work anymore and bluetooth is not loading anymore. Even if you enable bluetooth manually, it still won't work.

Of course, when you leave bluetooth on all the time, it work when you shut off and reopen the program. But i am talking about when you shut the program off and bluetooth off, and then reopen the program, everything failed!

FM radio chip doesn't get powered off as soon as you close an app relying on it, but something like 10-20 secs later. So you can't disable bluetooth too early since it's the same physical chip, bu have to wait a bit.

But... I have just checked and on my N900 bluetooth gets powered down after 10-20secs QRadio is closed. So just wait a bit and bluetooth will be disabled.
