I often use the N900 builtin FM transmitter to listen to music while in my car. The music stops playing when somebody calls me but I can't hear anything. The caller can hear me, but I can't hear him.

Last time this happened I switched back to the media player and switched off the FM transmitter and then back to the phone application and all was fine: I could hear the caller.

Does the FM transmitter really not switch off automatically when I pick up a call? Is this a bug? AFAIK this used to work in the past, maybe pre PR1.x.

Thanks for your advice.

Its a bug u need to increase the volume of your N900 when you are called while fm transmitter is active, when you activate fm transmitter it mutes your call volume(some bug),,,just increase the sound u can hear the caller......

You could try using FM Carkit, then the Transmitter won't need to deactivate.
