I hope I understand your problem.
To hide photos simply create a folder with any name, but you start with a dot (.), so it will be a hidden folder and its contents is not shown in the photo app, videos, etc.

I too have this issue. Any mp3's I add on my phone seem to have the album art for them show up in my photo viewer.
It is quite the annoyance.

and for the case to the .mediabox's folder ( /mmc1/.mediabox/thumbnails) how can i remove it so that i keep the thumbnails in mediabox but not appears in the photo viewer, please?
