Theoretically there could be, I don't know if anyone has tried.

Can you please try again? Please make sure you have the extras-testing repository enabled and do not have the extras-devel repository enabled.

I can install and upgrade from extras-testing and I have looked at the packages in the repository and they seem to be correct. The application manager should be trying to install version 2.8+maemo+svn20100212-1 of any of the applications.

gpesyncd is automatically installed whenever you install any of the GPE applications. However, OpenSync is not currently usable and it has no way to connect to Outlook or Exchange.

As the data is already on the N900 via PC suite is it possible to import it from the inbuilt database?
That is probably the most likely way forward, but there are no tools to do that yet. One day either SyncEvolution or OpenSync should be able to do that.

In the meantime you are really stuck with the limited capabiltiies built in to GPE which are of the form of import and export. This doesn't really solve the sync problem, however.

I installed GPE Timesheet on my N900 and it really seems to fit what I need (I bill my clients by the hour per projects).

However, I was wondering whether there was any way to export the timelog so I can use it on my computer (csv, txt or any other file format)?

Having to manually copy the information from the N900 to my computer is a bit of a hassle.

Thanks,

Any chance the transparency is working now?

There is a SQLite 2.1 file under /home/user/.gpe called 'timesheet'

I run the family of GPE PIM applications on my Ubuntu Linux desktop and they are file compatible with the GPE aps that run on my N810. The same may be true for the N900.

Or better to sync to the Nokia Pc-Suite ?

Thanks for your answer.
Hey Bob, I don't have a real snyc solution. But after being disappointed by the built-in N900 calendar (seriously, it's a joke IMO) I wanted to transfer my data stored in the default calendar to GPE. You can export the existing data from the default one and import it back with GPE. Worked great for me, everything was taken over, even alarms.

Transparency on the GPE widget ain't workjing for me neither, btw.

Would love to know exactly how you do that.
