You have an avoided frequency set as min. GO FIGURE!

the min frequency automatically changes. sometimes it shows 250. its the dsp profile that came with kp settings with kp50. i just changed the max freq to 850. nthn else

Not a problem AFAIK.

@Mohammed Muid, waiting for the other requested information. But please, gather all in one post, spreading it over several posts does not help.

I assumed you had it set at 805 because until fairly recently, most users with SR enabled rebooted at faster than 805. It didn't require any sophistication to use settings that avoided an instant crash.

If set at 250, that's the minimum, it can't go below, but it can go above and reach the max based on load. 850 is max, it can't go above, but it can go below to its min if the phone is done with a task. Minimum frequency is not jumping, that's a constant and so is max.

Wrong, I assume that to be a sweet spot(for my usage) re OC/EM/battery life. I have SR stable up to 900 on my devices for the last several months. But my primary phone is 2 years old, so I lower OC from 900 to 805, just in case.

Anyway, the user I asked that question does not seem knowledgabe enough to properly OC his n900 to 1GHz (i.e. proper undervolting, testing, monitoring, etc). Thus my point.

I'm not saying it's a problem, but this kind of negligence will be a reason for future problems. You are setting an avoided frequency as min, in other words, no supported frequency is defined as min. It may not be a problem in this area, but in others it might be fatal

So your N900 is not overclocked anymore

for me battery drainage is extremely high with kp50. i only used my phone for msging and browing for a total of 20mins and media player for 2hrs. where in kp49 at the same time it was 50 percent in kp49. i installed kp50 after a full reflash of rootfs and emmc. y? my battery is now 6 percent. my phone was in standby for like hours. suddenly when i touched it.it was hot. smthng was running bt what? help me plzzz

@PATLAK
this is my dsp profile that i load. i just copied it from /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/dsp

# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - CREATE A COPY OF IT FOR CUSTOMIZATION
# minimum frequency to use
MINFREQ=250
# maximum frequency to use
MAXFREQ=850
# list of frequency configurations: each "frequency:volt,dsprate"
FREQS="0:30,90 125:30,90 250:38,180 500:48,360 550:54,400 600:60,430 720:60,520 805:60,600 850:60,600 900:60,600 950:60,600 1000:60,600 1100:72,600 1150:72,600"
SMARTREFLEX_VDD1=1
SMARTREFLEX_VDD2=1
GOVERNOR=ondemand
UP_THRESHOLD=95
SAMPLING_RATE=300000
IGNORE_NICE_LOAD=0
POWERSAVE_BIAS=0

min freq is 250. why does it show 125 when i type kernel-config show. but sometimes it also shows 250 with kernel-config show

@Mohammed Muid - to check which process is using MPU, just type "top" without quotes in terminal, or run conky. And If you need assistance on such simple things, I would recommend you to stay away from -devel repo
