2104. Of unknown provenance, bought second hand in Bangkok.

Everything works perfect, but the hard coating has flaked off the screen (about a square inch worth) in one corner. Keyboard is matte.
Frequent cell signal dropout for a few seconds at a time, but that could easily just be crappy coverage.
Works perfectly with 64GB Kingston micro sd card (U1, 'normal' black label). Does not detect new micro usb flash drives. Tested with a 'double sided' 16GB Toshiba. Older flash drives work fine with a generic otg cable

Oc@850 mhz, bought in 2010, never had any kind of problems, apart microsd detection (sometimes I need to extract/insert the card a couple of times); of course I use usb port veeeery carefully (I filed all of my plugs, to let them insert easy).

Anybody ever seen 26** revisions? I estimate that the revisions seen are: 2204, 2201, 2101, 2104, 2001. Somebody could go through 1 hundred of posts, and create beautiful statistics of revision->devices, with characteristics of said devices (keyboard shiny-matte, CPU thumbee, USB port here-or-not, country-language).

How many of these might have real physical differences (some numbers might also indicate regional differences), I don't know.

I know, this is maybe not more actual in 2016, but....
I bought an new 2204 this week in ebay germany. absolutely new, but without original box. English QWERTY-Kbd, mate kbd finish...
my cat /proc/cpuinfo show
BogoMIPS: 249.96
Does anybody know, why this is lower than on 2101 revision (which is the most sold revision here in Germany)?

So how much does your 2101 show? I have 2101 bought in Poland in 2009 and it does 249.96 as well...

[edit] Well I just noticed some of reports in this thread (e.g. enne30's from few posts back) state "499.92" :O Never really paid any attention to it before...

[edit2] Might it be something related to used kernel, cpu frequency scaling, etc?

[edit3] YES, when I do e.g. apt-get update in the background and cpu gets used more, it reports "499.92" too

Yep, exactly.

And I really doubt you bought a brand new device in 2016.
Else I would like to know where at which price. Would love to store away a brand new boxed one.
But only got an customs-opened box with a refurbished one.

Hello Peter
The ebay item is: 222000347941

The price is 129,- EUR.
The Nokia N900 which i got is REALLY A NEW one BUT without the original Box an all goodies.

The Standard Nokia N900 MicroUSB-Charger (1,2A, the good one) and original Nokia Battery BL-5J were included.
Black sticker on the display, anything is new.
QWERTY-Keyboard with matte finisch, which are very hard to get in Germany.
(As you know, german N900-QWERTZ-Keyboard has castrated cursor-keys)

Its a german shop, you got an invoice and warranty. Free DHL-Parcel Delivery.....

So i think, 129,- EUR are ok here....
