No you don't have to pay for the inbound call feature. GC should see it as a valid # (did you choose Gizmo in the drop down box?). Note, that when you first register with GC you need to provide them with a real phone # (landline or mobile) that they'll call to validate before you can add other phone #s (like Gizmo).

To make the mobile grand central site more finger friendly drop this into your userContent.css file ( search if you don't know how ).

@-moz-document url-prefix("http://www.grandcentral.com/mobile") {
body { font-size: 1.5em !important; text-align: center !important; }
font[size="1"] { font-size: 1.5em !important }
font[size="2"] { font-size: 1.5em !important }
font[size="1.5"] { font-size: 1.5em !important }
font[size="6"] { font-size: 1.5em !important }
table { width: 100% !important }
td { margin: 15px !important }
}

Drop the grandcentral as part of the search. Here is a link to one post that describe the process for making this forum look better on the tablets.

and a thread on restyling google reader... same idea, same file

This is not for the faint of heart, but maybe some hacker can turn this info into a quick-call applet. Here is the command line necessary to invoke click_to_call without opening the browser.

Code:
wget -O /dev/null -q --load-cookie=/home/user/.mozilla/microb/cookies.txt --referer=http://www.grandcentral.com/mobile/messages http://www.grandcentral.com/mobile/calls/click_to_call?destno=5185551212
So you must have already logged into grandcentral via the browser to make this work, and have previously installed wget through apt-get.

One question... grandcentral though gizmo seems to screw with DTMF tones... is there any way to get the rtcomm to send "inband" tones rather than out of band signaling?
