Have grabbed the source for this - but before I make an attempt at compiling for fremantle - dont suppose anyone else has thought about porting this to the n900?

The main problem is that it is too old. It doesn't work with apple.com/trailers anymore for instance and most other sites use flash. I don't plan on updating it anyway.

Would it be another way to get microb to start mplayer or another player like vlc?

I installed mplayer plugin on n900 and it worked
Now I can play NRK nett-tv. I have to push the fullscreenbutton and the I get picture. The picture isn't fullscreen, but it works.

I had to remove .mplayer directory to get the sound to work because I got settings for n770 in there.

Why not?
IMHO some script here and there will never make up for a decent plug in...
Isn't it possible to improve it any further? Or is it to much up to the original developers...

I've found some workarounds and I plan to test the plug in as well.

Kevin DeKorte is working on "mplayerplug-in for mozilla". Latest patch was only a week ago...

The plugin is working for n900 and latest mplayer.
The configfiles in /home/user/.mplayer must be changed or removed for the plugin to work for n900. The settings installed is for n770.
For me noembed=1 worked best.

Have you found a way to launch it outside the web browser?
Is that what noembed does?

@bec noembed=1 in the mplayerplug-in.conf gives you a mplayer session where you can push 'f' to toggle fullscreen, 'm' to mute etc.

But I guess its something like this https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/446 you want ported to maemo.

I was just testing is on my pc as you mentioned it

I don't know how but it seems to work in microb as well

I taught it would need complex recompilation & stuff. Checking it out now in mozilla(pc)/microb. I'll report back later
