thank you

edit - so I've installed python 2.5, but when I go to install mytube it says I'm still missing python-gdata, how can I install this?

thanks
This is what I did, Get becomeroot like this:
Install becomeroot package http://eko.one.pl/maemo/dists/bora/u....1-2_armel.deb
using the aplication manager.

Close aplication manager and open xterm (in Utilities menu).
Become root with:
sudo gainroot

Now install python-gdata like this:
apt-get install python-gdata

I had added the python-gdata deb packages in a garage project: http://garage.maemo.org/projects/python-gdata/

These deb packages are installable for the application manager without red-pill mode.

Great release , thanks.

Just 2 questions:
Does this use the high res option?
Also when deleting a video, can it delete the entire folder of the video rather than just the flv file. Deleting just flv = fail. Deleting folder works fine.

Ah yes, mplayer .24 does work better. I hackzored it on my N800 so mplayer 26 is the default but mtube uses 24.

offtopic but you made it so mplayer acts as the default media player? how did you do that? some files still make the nokia media player pop up.

Awesome little app--especially for an alpha! I installed 0.0.9 last night, and everything pretty much worked right away; I set the download location, searched for some videos, watched them from mplayer, everything just worked. I also like the controls so far--the buttons are big and nicely thumbable (still a problem in many Maemo apps). When you get it into beta you can add more graphical eye-candy stuff, but keep the buttons big so they're easy to touch. When I first saw the description, I wasn't really sure I saw the point (as someone earlier pointed out, YouTube works through MicroB), but after using it, I really like it. It's much less cumbersome than MicroB+Flash plugin, and it's easy to keep videos for offline watching later. Again, I really like this app; keep up the great work!

I agree , definitely one of the best apps on the tablets , no use in going to the site anymore , performance on watching videos is so much better.
