I love these kind of threads. Helps the months go by, waiting for the next device.

And the new tagging thing makes for some fun too. Who keeps tagging everything, "n900 should have hardcase"? That's hilarious. (EDIT: probably mullf )

Thanks, Alexander, for getting us started (again)! It's been fun! You make your fellow Canadians proud!

Omega dude,

What did you expect and why?

I mean I'm hearing, it's slow, it can't do this, or it can't do that.

Compared to what other handheld device, with WiFi, BT, mega gig storage, operates for a full day without a recharge, and runs semi free and open source software?

If this was 2007 and you had an N800 I might have agreed with you on usability. If you have an 810, the latest firmware, and access to all the repositories and you still can't find something that the tablet absolutely shines at... I agree with one of the first responders to this thread, sell the dang thing.

I also might add: You won that contest with your first post here dude. This is an enthusiast's board.

I'm sayin' though. $51 bucks and all your N810 problems are solved.

omega probably doesn't accept paypal because the cash doesn't materialize in his hand when payment is sent.

I was with ya on the rant, though it directly contradicts my day-to-day experience with the device. I was even with ya when you pointed out how polite and diplomatic you were.

But that sentiment right there is uttered by people I have to walk through any number of technical issues on any range of platforms from Mac to Linux to Windows. And I'm not even in IT.

I had some things I was going to suggest to help narrow down the difference between your use and mine and truly ascertain whether it's just end-user expectation, but now I'm simply going to mock you from here on out. Same thing I do every time I've tried helping someone who blames their lack of experience on the hardware itself.

All the while I will be enjoying the movies and podcasts playing full screen w/no hiccup, my INTERNAL gps that connects in roughly a minute and stays locked no matter where I go (including my ~1000 mile trip across 4 states to see my family), and my free and decent quality voip calls across country.

I usually wait for the response a post like that invariably draws from the OP. Apologies for getting your hopes up prematurely.
