Most of NetLib is not implemented save for the easily mappable <sys/socket.h>-like calls. If an app does something weird, It may refuse to work indeed, though I'd find that rare.

I had great memories of playing kmoria roguelike for the Palm
http://roguelike-palm.sourceforge.net/kMoria/

After reading this thread, I decided I would try it out with Garnet VM.
My steps so far...

1) Installed Garnet VM as explained in this post
http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...4&postcount=21

2) downloaded kmoria in my PC from here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/rogu...5.zip/download

3) Unzipped the content and copied the files to the n900 using using storage mode

4) Launched Garnet VM

5) Installed kMoria.prc from inside Garnet VM with success

6) Installing kMoriaDB.pdb fails with the following error
"failed to install kMoriaDB.pdb (err=0x30060209)"

7) Launching kMoria will give a message inside the VM that
kMoria needs its database
please install "kMoriaDB.pdb"

Anyone else with similar objective but better results ?

Quick update , tried the SD Card method :
first
mkdir ~/.gvm/cards #only have do it once
echo -e "/media/mmc1\nRW" > ~/.gvm/cards/
then
mkdir /media/mmc1/PALM
mkdir /media/mmc1/PALM/Programs
mkdir /media/mmc1/PALM/Launcher
copied the prc to the Launcher dir and pdb to Programs dir

Slot 1 is available in VM, the kMoria.prc can be launched bot it can't find kMoriaDB.pdb

Update 2
Managed to finally install and run kMoria on the Garnet VM.
1) Installed ZLauncher
2) Move the .prc and .pdb from the virtual SD Card to RAM

I installed Garnet VM successfully. However, launching an application for the second time all data is lost. Any input is gone after re-launching an Garnet VM.
Any ideas are appreciated

There's an estimated 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 possible different PDB file formats. What kind of PDB file do you have?

I had no clue there were so many! I have only used this one, always with iSilo in my N95.

I just checked and the only info I found was "iSilo 3.x/4.x" and "Windows-1252". Hope that was what you were asking...

By the way, changing the format is also an option, but I don't wanna lose the hyperlinks.

Thanks again!
