looks like newegg mysteriously now have the n900 again. They have the audacity to email me about my canceled pre-order.

Probably because enough people were getting POed at Newegg and switching from Newegg to NokiaUSA that they suddenly had available stock from all the cancellations.

I found it strange i preordered from newegg on Nov 5, I saw on Black Friday that it was in stock. Placed my order, in minutes i received an email saying my Nov 27 order was being processed, then it was charged and now it has been shipped. While my Nov Preorder is still on hold. I should note that this time i chose next day ups shipping, while my nov 5 was free shipping.

My newegg order shipped Sat night. Should have it Monday/Tuesday (overnight shipping).

Took a while for it to go from Charged to Shipped.

Excited to finally have my device in the mail... as opposed to refreshing an order page daily.

Ordered 10/20 from Newegg.com, have heard nothing. Based on this thread and some others, sent newegg a nastygram tonight. If nothing shows up tomorrow either way, I am cancelling it and blowing it off all together. This is complete supply chain incompetence. I am going to just wait until they drop to $300 and get one (inevitable given the issues) Good riddance, Nokia.

Cant really blame Nokia in this case - this is purely NewEgg messing up the chain. Nokia USA took my order - shipped it all over the weekend and it will be here tomorrow. Cant beat that.

Yeah I hear ya, I am just bitter at this point. Newegg has never done me wrong in many years of buying many thousands of $$ in parts from them. I just cant believe they are this useless.

Still, I am going to get on chat with them tomorrow and see if there is any traction. If they give me an acceptable answer to this known problem and dont try to hand me a load of crap, I might keep the preorder. I want a discount though.

It's possible that it's a system problem (since most of us and them are prolly PC =D)

I would suggest that somebody bring this up to them. . .

I don't think the sales guys can actually do a lot about this. In fact, it might be fruitless to just send them complaints. Send them a suggestion.

Their sales division needs to talk with the IT gurus (who handle the system).

It seems that when the device is scanned when it arrived at the warehouse, it automatically adjust the N900 page @newegg.com to "in stock". This is why we hear that those that "add to cart" immediately when it's "in stock" @newegg.com actually got the device shipped.

As a result of that, a lot of us (not all of us. but im included) who "pre-order"ed earlier didn't even get the chance to be "processed" and they keep telling us that they're out of stock.

This is my 2 cent.
Hope it helps us all who preordered early. .

This is further proof that they are operated by monkeys. Writing an order fulfillment system is not brain surgery; I was writing this kind of code with proper error correction and dependency checking in the 80's on VAX systems, for God sake. Newegg just needs to admit they had an issue, issue an apology to the several hundred ++ people they screwed, discount the phones and get on with it.

MY 2c.
