I received a similar note yesterday. I, too, had activated the Ovi store and provided them with my user name on the rebate form. I will be calling them as well.

When I called them about the letter, the person put me on hold for 1 or 2 minutes, then came back and said she fixed it and I should be receiving it within 30 days. I'll cross my fingers.

I recieved a similiar letter and though I tried to handle things in a calm cool manner the response was "sorry, nothing I can do" When I lost my composure, laid out my "evidence" and let them know what steps I would take that the problem automagically resolved itself.

scam imo.

Submitted my rebate in early Jan.
Had to fax invoice and proof of date of purchase on the 8th of Feb.

Just called them at 1800 436 6394 number. They said my rebate is in final stages of processing (wouldnt say what stage that is).
It should take under a week for them to mail the card to me now.
Apparently they do NOT send you any sort of notification once it processes successfully.

Haven't heard anything from them either. I smell something fishy.

Apparently if you have any missing information it won't process.
If you then submit the missing information it will go back to the end of the queue as a "re-submition". It will take 6weeks from the date they recieve your re-submition.
Its all bullocks.

OK,
I Bought my N900 from Nokia online in Nov. I sent in the rebate around Jan 6. A month ago I received an email saying I would get the card in 2-3 weeks.

There was a link in the email to check status. There are 3 or 4 different ways to check status depending on what info you have. My info all came back as not in the system or something.

So I called on Friday since it had been 4 weeks and the website acted like they didn't know who I was. I gave them the info and here's what they said:

Your card is printed up, but we don't know when it will be mailed out?? WTF kinda stoopid chit is that? She said, we don't want to tell you 2-3 weeks and then you not get it by then!

I asked, you can't give me any indication of when it will mail? She said no. She also couldn't explain how her website acted like it didn't have me in the system, but she readily found the info. I asked her why I got an email from Nokia saying I would have it in 2-3 weeks, and she said Nokia shouldn't be doing that!
