I have not received my rebate yet, but the legal language in the rebate does not stipulate "deals" are null and void to the warranty.
I simply wrote the IMEI down on the form and this is another reason I did not keep the second N900 and return the first one. Well, main reason was the second one rebooted over a dozen times in the short time I was testing 2G reception. I averaged about 1.5 reboots per hour of use. No other apps were installed on it, just what came with it.

Thank you. Requirement #2 on the form says "The original UPC and barcode panel from the product box of your Nokia device." Do you believe simply writing down the UPC code and barcode is sufficient to obtain the rebate? Furthermore, there is nowhere on the form where the UPC and barcode is to be written so I would assume we must either make copies of the barcode with the UPC code and mail them in. Is that what you did?

Sorry, but I did also send the panel, but also wrote the IMEI down on the form. The panel requirement is no different than most other rebates. Most count on someone missing something, or too apathetic to send it out in the first place. The fallout percent for rebates is why they exist in the first place

So you had to cut the barcode on the box? Can we just make copy of the barcode on the box? Wouldn't that be better than destroying this pretty box?

Actually my total was $429 after rebate. Not sure where my tiny brain picked up "422".
Funny, my first one has been rock solid and Mplayer, emulators and other apps installed. No problems or memory issues and ZERO reboots.
Second one out of the box was random reboot city. Would have been ironic if the 2G radio had better reception than the first
