I just did the upgrade. No difference. After about 58 % of preparations, Barriosquare crashes and has done so for a week now. I have deleted it and reinstalled and it just doesn't upload.

Hi scottrNZ.

I was not able to send you a private message too.
I guess my problem is related to non-ascii characters... I'm mayor of venues with accents like "Pćo"
Here is part of my log

Code:
File "/opt/barriosquare/barriosq.py", line 4727, in updateDashboard
self.updateCounts()
File "/opt/barriosquare/barriosq.py", line 4700, in updateCounts
self.lastCheckedInVenueName = str(row['name'].toString())
UnicodeEncodeError: 'ascii' codec can't encode character u'\xed' in position 4: ordinal not in range(128)
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'DataManager' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'InsertUpdate' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'Select' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.
Hope it helps...

shame cos this app works awesome for me but we could never get it working on his flashed and clean n900

Hello all,

I've just uploaded 0.3.7 to extras-devel, should be available soon. This fixes some unicode issues which may have been causing the crashes people have been seeing. Thanks to Glenn Y. Rolland for the initial patch.

It also fixes a small bug where you couldn't switch away from barriosquare with the checkin window open.

Once you update, please let us all know how you get on

Cheers!

@scottrNZ:

Please put in versions in the PyQt dependencies - you're obviously using some Qt4.6 flags, but the deps don't mirror this requirement of a Qt4.6 compiled PyQt (so PyQt will not update itself if it was installed before PR1.2)
