Switzerland: All OK.
Gave me a warning of "not enough power", but after I plugged it into USB, it installed without a problem. Rebooted. Gives message that "OS update successful". All OK.
Checking HTOP: tracker-indexer using 83% CPU for about 20 seconds, then all fine and dandy.

OK,
I updated my N900 - 1.2009.44-1.
Nothing new till now, but I feel the device a little bit snappier.

Regards.

It's available in the UK but you have to be sharp eyed. Click the 'update' and it will take you (after chewing for a little while) to a list of apps. The top one (little blue square icon) is marked Maemo 5.

Choose that one and go.

*Mo currently updating: RevdKathy currently holding her breath. *

What can I expect to see?

It says 'updated successfully'

Note to those with space issues:

Simply removing the extras-devel catalogue from the app manager list of catalogues will free about 20 MB of space. Keep this in mind if you still have trouble after uninstalling all extras-devel packages.
