unfortunately the problem is not really in the source but in the build tools, so I don't think the pandora port would help there. The game works fine if it's compiled in scratchbox, so if you want it follow these instructions for now.

Hi,

I have first applied this fix:

root
mkdir /opt/wesnoth/share
cd /opt/wesnoth/share
ln -s /opt/maemo/usr/share/wesnoth wesnoth

and then i have installed the .deb package.

The game won't start, and if I try to run it from a terminal i get:

Don't run as root.

This is the "proper" method of installing:

the xterm stuff is not needed.

Did you receive any errors during install?

Thanks mece!

Turned out I had a confict with the libsdl-ttf2.0 package.
After I got that solved, uninstalled Wesnoth, reinstalled it and applied the update, I got it working

Is the maintainer MIA/AWOL? Can't the version in the repository be fixed? It seems silly to have to download/install another package for a fix instead of fixing the problem at the source.
