Piotras said that the segfault should be fixed, new packages will land in repo later.

Just promoted new package with som fixes, if after installing 0.5.8 you still get segfault as root in terminal type "apt-get install libmidgard2-2010" which by latest should make sure your libmidgard2 gets updated to latest version (I just realized I should have said version >=10.05.1 rather than >=10.05, it shouldn't matter for new installs but if you happen to have the older version installed it might not get upgraded).

OK. I purged (apt-get purge) maecalories, libmidgard2-2010, libmidgard2-2009 and installed maecalories again.
Now it seems to work!
Thank you very much!

heads up; it seems there is something wrong with the "does the database already exists" -check in postinstall script (which is funny since I have not touched that in ages) and thus on upgrade your database will get overwritten with a fresh one, backup the db file before upgrading.

open fresh terminal window and type "cp .midgard2/data/maecalories.db maecalories.db.backup" then upgrade and switch the filenames around.

I wanted to thank those who wrote and perfected this program - I could not believe it existed for my beloved N900!

I installed it yesterday and added a few items to the log, but today I noticed that yesterday's items became today's items ... and it skewed point calculation for today. How do I go around it?

Thank you.

Strange..., after I installed this app I notice after a shutdown or reboot the "Shortcut" on the desktop as well as the ability relaunch the shortcut disappears. Any feedback? Thanks in advance!

it's far from perfected but it works well enough that currently I pursue my other projects while using this daily.

the log entries dates are stored in UTC but the rest of the UI does not yet do the TZ conversions so in some cases there might be a bit of skew (especially if your timezone is very far from utc)

the other guy asking about the shortcuts: I have no idea what would cause this.

So how do I make it so that the logs are created per day, not per week? and can I delete the old entries? Thanks!
