I guess I'm spoiled with epage always thinking about more than just the N900 phone.
Short answer: right now, definitely no. Later: Maybe.

Long answer: QGVDial depends on QT 4.6 (for webkit) and QTMobility for voicemail, sensors and network.
To make it work on n8x0, I can conditionally compile out the sensors and network, and use gstreamer for voicemail.
However that still leaves me with webkit - which isn't something I can do without - the callout functionality depends on webkit.
iirc, Diablo does have webkit because of QT 4.5, but there have been numerous changes since that.
The only way to get around that will be to port webkit (QT 4.6) to the n8x0. There is a community SSU for stuff like that and if I get enough time, I will try to port QT 4.6.2 to my n810. If I can get that working then qgvdial goes to Diablo as well.

Thanks - I'd be happy to alpha-beta test on my N810.

I've sent a request to upload qgvdial. I should be able to upload to the extras repositories in the next few days.

Until then, enjoy a new build!
-> Call button was never enabled. Fixed.
-> QT Stylesheet for the dialpad is now in /opt/qgvdial/bin/stylesheets

Make a backup, modify, then restart qgvdial.
Note: To restart, you must exit through the menu!

Post your mods with screenshots here for all to see!

No! The Google Voice contacts that this app shows you are entirely self contained with the app - I do not touch the phone contacts.

I am working on a (yet unreleased) project that will sync google contacts to the phonebook, but this is not it.

New build uploaded:
-> Symbian build is now valid once again.
-> Call button actually does call. Last build was silly. It enabled the button but the button did nothing

uvatbc,
Nice work! I use it mainly for listening to voicemails (since google transcribe-to-sms sucks..). Would it be possible to allow the user to select which speakers to play the voicemail from? For instance, I would like voicemails to play out of the speaker you use when you hold the device to your face to make a call. That way people around me cannot hear voicemails if I am not using a headset of any kind.

You know thats a good idea - I completely get that - It was pretty embarrassing listening to a voice message on the speakers.

I'll look into how to do that.
