Found out whats the problem with webui, need to compile it again. Upload to devel still stuck,getting somewhere (thx javispedro) Will have a look at it when nightshift is over. I will not stop until its done.

Install it by typing dpkg -i libevent-1.4-2_1.4.13-stable-1_armel.deb

transmission deb : transmission deb

Installer for manual installation : Installer.zip

Howto (For Installer.zip only) :

1. Unzip it, and put the files (install.sh & qtrans2.04 folder) in the same folder on your N900 via usb,or use FileBox to do it direct on the N900.
I've used the download folder in MyDocs. You can create even a new folder if you like to.

2. Open Terminal and type root
!!! root can harm your N900, even brick it, if you do something wrong !!!

3. Change to the directory where you put the two files. cd /path/to/files/...
(cd /home/user/Mydocs/download, in my case)

4. Type sh install.sh and wait for the script to be done.

5. Close Terminal

6. Install libevent-1.4-2_1.4.13-stable-1_armel.deb

So whats new with this version of transmission. I got version 1.76 and wondering what the benifit for upgrading becuse I downloaded it from app man and it didnt involve me going into x terminal. I'm a noob in x terminal but would try if its worth it. i have no fear of bricking since the N900 is almost unbrickable. the only phone I know that if it goes into boot loop just reflash and you'll be back and run.

Ok installed the new version just fine, but when I try to run it, it won't start. I've rebooted the phone a couple of times, but didn't help.. Any advice?

@ Exact , please open terminal and type qtr and see what's the error.

So what should I do?

EDIT: Ok sratch that, corrected with "apt-get install libevent"

But now to the next problem; when I try to add a torrent, it won't appear on the screen..

Maby something went wromg during upload ....
Please try the transmission deb again, i made a new upload.

Ok just reinstalled the app, and now it's working properly, thanks!

Ok new problem; now when I try to download something, it just gives me an error "Read-only file system (/home/user/MyDocs/...)"

And when I try to delete the file using FileBox or via PC, it just says that it's a Read-only file, so that it cannot be deleted..
