No, sorry.
I removed xbindkeys, xmodmap, wmctrl and snx, and to be sure, /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx and then re-installed it all with apt-get install snx.

This also re-installed xbindkeys etc. but not /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx

Still no keyboard after ctl-return. Tried it both in the xterm where snx was started and in the snx window.

Intersting information about the f-keys though.

If there is no /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx (for whatever reason), then there are no keybindings and Ctrl+Return can't work.
"dpkg --purge snx" (forget about the other packages), "rm /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx*", apt-get install again and make sure /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx is there.
Also, do you have any rx-51 keymap modification which could affect the keybinding?
Is your keymap any special (non-latin) one?

maacruz, may I add a suggestion: let 'snx -v' report the version number of snx, so I really can be sure that we are talking about the same version?

No need, we have dpkg for that: "dpkg -l snx"

after using dpkg --purge and apt-getting snx again, /etc/xbindkeysrc.snx returned. It contains:

"wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -b toggle,fullscreen"
F6
"wmctrl -r :ACTIVE: -b toggle,fullscreen"
F10

It strikes me as odd that both entries seem to toggle fullscreen, which button is F6?

And I tried camerabutton and ctl-return both in the original terminal and in the NX terminal, to no effect. BTW: Switching to full screen works when I replace the F10 by Control + KP_Enter

AFAIK I have a normal keyboard and again afaik there are noprograms running that change the keyboard.
snx is listed as version 0.1.3-3

I really appreciate the trouble you take in answering me.

It's an old release. I uploaded the package (version 0.1.4-2) to autobuilder on saturday, but for whatever reason it didn't go to fremantle extras-devel repository and the autobuilder didn't send a failure message.
I'll try again today, in a few minutes, so keep an eye on the repo.
F6 is the fullscreen key in N8x0 and N770 devices.

EDIT: It has arrived to fremantle extras-devel, no problems this time

yes, it works this time!

Thank you so much for making the power of NX available on the N900.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this latest version has broken my symbols again

I think it has to be something else, because except for the Ctrl+Return keybinding and the input-focus workaround, both versions are identical.

If you want to try going back to the old release, you can "apt-get install snx=0.1.3-3"
