Date easy fix
you can do that by typing in the following format:

date mmddHHMMYYyy

so
date 121520152005
Dec 15 8:15 2005

or date 010309392006
Jan 3 9:39 2006

adjust at your local time

to videos you can install vlc

aptitude install vlc

and open vlc from terminal typing vlc-wrapper

7. It’s ARCHLINUX Time!!
Admitted, I only noticed you use E17 on Archlinux when I watched your video (What´s up with that bg noise b.t.w.? Is that a camera from the 40´s era, with tape? ).

Considering how cool that is, running these two on your n900, you might want to put that in bold type, perhaps even capitalize it. Something like:
ENLIGHTEN YOUR N900

Thanks!

hmm
running into the "black-screen" problem now too. terminal output is
Code:
/home/user/archlinux/startarch: line 7: wmctrl: command not found
()
Tried twice. First time I downloaded and unpacked everything on the n900 itself, working from the terminal. Second time I copied everything from my linux desktop.

I am not sure what´s going on here so any help would be appreciated.

I haven't had that trouble, lets see if we can fixed it.

My first tought its to download this file http://ubuntuone.com/p/ScL/ unziped and copy to MyDocs in your device

then open a new xterminal and type

Code:
cd archlinux
./chrootarch
now let this xterminal (don't close it) and open a new one and type

Code:
sudo cp /home/user/MyDocs/wmctrl /.archlinux/usr/bin
rm /home/user/MyDocs/wmctrl
exit
now return to the first xterminal
Code:
cd /usr/bin
chmod +x wmctrl
exit
this should fix the problem now you can follow the guide without any trouble

Please let me know if that works
