* Added gauges (thanks to @vanous for collaboration)

"speedmeter" scripts made by Andrea Gavana.(link)
I want to thank @vanous for found them and tried to do the first implementation in pyobd.

Hi there.

Maybe a silly question, but would it be possible to implement a code so you can check the Horsepower while driving? like a rolling dyno test?

Love the work you have done!!!!!!

greetings

Hi, as I know, there isn't OBD sensor or else that provides horsepower/Dyno.

Found a formula on the web, but it is very rough and not very realistic:

0.5 * VehicleWeight / Gravity * (FeetInMile / WheelRotationPerMile)^2 * (ChangeInSpeed / ChangeInTime) / 550

Any chance of the speedometer being able to indicate MPH as well as KPM?
I assume the gauge has enough space have both on it's face.

Both on it's face is not possible (just tried ), but I will try to include the possibility to choose between kmh or mph.

Have you already paired your Elm327 dongle BT before starting pyOBD, & is the N900 BT set to Visible?

Version Changes
0.9.2-19 * New option: MPH instead KMH in the gauges
Look on menu "File" -> "Configure Gauges"

(To activate this option, you should restart pyOBD)

Hope I'm not askng a dumb question but how are you pairing with your dongle?

The N900 can find my ELM327 but when I tell it to pair it suggest a 4 digit code which there is no way of keying into the dongle.

If I delete the code, the pair key becomes greyed out.

Am I missing something?

Into the dongle the code is fixed.
Try with this digit: 0000 or 1234
