considering the places the N9 is not available because nokia want/need their wp7 range to sell i can see why they would restrict sales in certain countries/regions based on this. The people in the officially announced countries seem to be able to get it from well known stores on and offline. we all know where it's not being officially released so we shouldnt be surprised that major retailers aren't stocking it as they will probably have to buy through a 3rd party to get it.
and amazon are selling it, just depends on the country your in but i don't fancy €709 for a 64gb from Germany.

Elop can restrict whatever he wants but the N9 will find itself in the hands of those who want one. Unless someone is seriously challenged, WP7/800/Searay will not be considered an alternative.
I'm not attending Nokia World but can someone please throw at shoe at that man? I will start a fund for bail if any arrests are made.

True, but I was just poking fun at MR Elop's original reply to a message I sent him earlier this summer
"We do expect to have N9 available through some online resellers."
To which he was referring to UK availability .

It would've been nice if Harmattan had this out-of-the-box, sigh:
http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/24/i...nd-hdmi-turns/
Host-mode USB may still be possible on the N9...
But the greatest hackers in the world won't be able to add HDMI or MHL for us
I wonder if we'll eventually work-out a way to stream HD games via 802.11an + DLNA?
Doubtful....
