EDIT: Appear to have solved it. My method was a misspelled step... and his is that the attachment has changed URL (changed it in the edit for anyone interested).

Yep. Got it running. After some really weird stuff happening. Ended up following the steps above (edited it out a bit).

Only tried out the one game, and it's running very slow :P But all the graphical issues are gone and sound appears to work perfectly (despite being slow).

Now, what is the commands for changing frameskip etc it's not in -help

You can't do spaces in a command line, it'd have to be something like this:
psx4m Crash\ Bandicoot\ 3

when entering filenames use tabulator to complete them. If tab doens't complete then filename you have started to typoed. Remember also that system is case sensitive.
