And that's it, folks! Post 1000!

Time to release another deb and start a new thread!

If I'm on a page where it happens often as the page is loading (like Facebook), I'll see a request to save the page faster than I can hit cancel.
Yeah, Tear keeps wanting to download the webpage instead of displaying it for me, especially on interactive sites (forums, facebook, etc)

AFAICT, the "download page" problem happens with embedded iframes. For me, anyway.

Dont know if this has been mentioned, but with the bookmark list (the up arrow on the right hand bottom) being on the extreme right hand side - what happens when we rotate the screen to portrait mode is that that bookmarks button become invisible and goes out of the screen in portrait mode.

On the MicroB the bookmarks button is on the left side, hence even in portrait mode you can access it.

From this perspective, often accessed buttons like bookmarks would be better being on left side, so that on rotated mode also, it will be within the screen real estate and visible.

Is this a doable suggestion ?

Sorry, I take back my above point. Tear is smart enough to show a shaded down arror in portrait mode with the menu and back (and I guess any controls which are out of the screen area) buttons as options when I click on that down arrow at the bottom.

Very smart indeed. Loved that feature which I had missed the first time.

That's a Maemo toolbar feature, not mine

Is there an "open in new window" option I'm overlooking, or am I still stuck with the stock browser?

Open a new window? Press the + icon.

Open a link in a new window? I think press and hold.

Btw, Bundyo, would you consider adding a feature to open the viewport context menus by menu key + normal tap, or another modifier? Basically like context menus used to work on Macs with single-button mice. Tap and hold is really difficult for me, perhaps due to the protection foil I have on my screen. I often don't manage to hold long or strongly enough, so it releases prematurely and becomes a normal tap. Or I screw up in the context menu somehow because I had to use so much force to open it. Plus with the modifier it would be much speedier than waiting for the duration of the tap-and-hold delay.

There are some approaches to doing this system-wide, but they're hacky and complicated to setup. You may have a chance to do this more easily when limited to the WebKit viewport in Tear. I'd love that feature.

You have foil on your screen? I can see how that might cause problems....
