The internal player still uses the gstreamer backend (not my choice), so it has the same capabilities as gstreamer. So the short answer is 'no'.

As for portrait mode, I don't think it is possible to rotate the video frame. The widget will rotate, but the video content stays in landscape mode. That is the result of my limited testing.

Audio playback mode is now 'info mode', where you can read the info and comments during playback. Tap the 'i' toolbutton when in fullscreen playback mode. If your playing an audio file from the archive, this mode will be selected automatically.

Hi Marxian, thanks for this usefull app

I want to download all the videos of a youtube channel. So it will be great if i can order the downloaded videos by date (the date that i was uploaded to the youtube channel, not the date that i downloaded the video) and organize the downloaded videos in differents folders.

Thanks in advanced.

Marxian, thanks for adding the info mode!
This is great and fine for me, but I would prefer it like this:

1) Streaming
--> Search for a video
--> Go to detail view
--> Tapping thumbnail starts video preview in thumbnail (preview) size
--> An additional button below thumbnail would start fullscreen playback or switch to fullscreen playback when playback in preview size was already started.
--> From fullscreen a button like the "i" button would go back to detail view with video still playing in preview size
(ideally there would even be an option to keep video playing while going on browsing from detail view...e.g. a once started video can always be brought back by swiping up from bottom like downloads by swiping down )

2) Archive
--> Select file from archive
--> go to detail view playing in audio mode / preview mode and loading related comments / related videos from youtube
--> For videos, additional button below thumbnail / preview playback for switching to fullscreen
--> From fullscreen a button like the "i" button would go back to detail view with video still playing in preview size
(Long press in archive goes to fullscreen immediately)

Hope you get what I mean and donīt know if this is possible / feasible, but I think I would like it this way

Latest version introduced a bug, clicking on play now opens 8-10 instances of mplayer and having to close them every time is pretty annoying. cuteTube Player isn't working either. :\

anyone else having performance issues ??? big ones ????? when i'm trying to download all the phones performance gets soo bloody slow, and the phone heats up...... (cssu + power v42 @900mhz lv )

not happening on mine elie-7 running v47 @900mhz and cssu
running really smooth and no heating up (not noticably so)
