Hello,

I can send, at least simple text, but receiving does not work. I'm using Finnish operator Saunalahti (Elisa). Lookin at the log it looks like all is well, but showing the received message does not work (error message). The same thing that has been said earlier in this thread.

I tried to find the sources from gitorius, but was not able to get them for some "waiting to be archived" -reason. After short search I found the sources from github: https://github.com/frals/fmms

Frals had cloned them there. Now if I could find some time to try to fix it...

Peterleichnen, is the patch attached to this bug (https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12733) installed in any fmms version?

I myself have 1.3.5-3 with the mms 1.2 files from the zip you provided installed.

It seems this patch is not included I had a look at version 1.3.6-1.

Right.

As this patch is dated after my fix (which was only intended to fix my problems with receiving) and I up to today was not aware of that patch (bug report) it could not be included.

Let me check it. Or @halftux if you like to check it, patch it?
I may, of course, upload it to repos ...

My changes relied on latest sources of frals in Maemo repo v1.3.5

but the ability/willingness (probably 'cause of private data) was not as much as expected and needed to debug more problems ...

I checked it and the patch makes the same like you do and the mms 1.2 header fields are included and further it decodes the retrieve status and reply charging. In addition it uncomments tests for GIF, WAV & MIDI mime-types (send/receive).

I will attach a modified mms_pdu.py where the patch is applied but I made some changes for mms 1.3 and corrected a small mistake.
I have not tested it so far but it looks good to me.
The patch also patches wsp_pdu.py but I think it is not necessary it is for character encoding it removes a typo and changes 127 to 128 but I don't understand what the code really do at this routine.
I think it is not critical.

@Tsippaduida
The N900 source code you can find here and it is based on the sourceforge phyton-mms project.

Thanks. I am not able to invest time for getting to know mms, but I can apply patches and do some testing so you more knowledgeable are able to resolve the issues.

My N900 works well otherwise and to my dismay I found out that I actually need working mms support.

No results with mine. Neither patch worked.

My patched version has nothing todo with sending mms.
Are you talking about UK t-mobile?
Did you checked your settings because t-mobile merged with others (EE/Orange/T-mobile)?

EE continued to offer services under the T-Mobile brand until February 2015

It is US tmobile.

I have had this problem for quite a while and it is the only thing stopping me from using the N900.

I can receive mms from everyone.

I can send mms to tmobile users.

If I send to any other provider, the message says it is "sent," but the receiver never gets it
