"The following item will arrive after December 25, 2009."
Needless to say, I'm a little sad this morning. I will probably be canceling my order.

Yes, and would also be very foolish on Nokia's part. There is already a perception (right or wrong) that the product has been delayed and very little communication of the status was available. Then Nokia announce the N900 has shipped. Too many delay variables with boat bulk container deliveries (plus they are known to fall off boats every now and then )
Surely Nokia is not clueless and their marketing would have better sense to not ship by boat. Heck, we used to ship printers by air from Taiwan in order to make up for delays and avoid sell-in partners from getting ticked.
Then again, Nokia did say "Sometime in November", so they are keeping to their word in a rather obtuse manner.
I do not remember this kind of delay with the N-Gage
