The update is mainly to test waters with the status of the libsdlttf bug I mentioned on a previous page.

Hey. I'm a new, proud owner of a N900. It's an amazing device but sometimes too complicated.

I would be dying to get the N64 emulator to work, but it seems like you have to do alot of "scripting" in order to get it work. And, unfortuantly, scripting is one of my weaker powers.

I recently got the SNES emulator to work, it wasn't hard at all, and you could get a lot of help from youtube, but as I reckon, n64 is way harder to install.

I've download the file, unzipped with 7zip and then transferred it to my comp, but there are thousands of files, and I don't know where to go from there.

I've also searched the internet, but all I see is different codes to enter and that's like greek for me, so my question is, Is there any way to install this emulator in an easy way, without codes and such?

Thanks.

The new update failed for me, has anybody who has managed it got zelda to load a save game, or is this bug something else entirely?

Tranor:
The only thing you have to do is install mupen64plus via Application Manager, so remember to have extras-devel enabled in repository.

After that you only have to install his configuration, which is explained here:
To install my config files, you can either install mupen64plus from Extras-Devel before or after these steps... it really shouldn't matter.

Now download the following file from the phone and save to your main directory:
Custom Config

Open up a terminal and issue the following:
Code:

mkdir .mupen64plus (If you haven't run mupen64plus GUI yet)
cd .mupen64plus
tar zxf /home/user/MyDocs/customconfig.tar.gz

Your done! Start the emulator.

For the problem with libsdl-ttf2.0 just do:

sudo gainroot

apt-get -f upgrade

Just did that and it still comes up with this:

Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/libsdl-ttf2.0_2.0.9-1osso0+0m5_armel.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

Then downloaded the armel.deb file from here:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in....9-1osso0+0m5/
and did a dpkg -i 'file' and that installed without errors.

Hope thats the one to use

I keep getting an error : "dpkg: error processing libsdl...... (--install)"

@Airtux: There's a space missing between apt-get and -f

Ah crap, I performed an apt-get -f upgrade and while it did allow me to update mupen64plus, it's installed Python updates that are screwing up other python apps.

Now both Gpodder and Panucci fail. They report:
ImportError: No module named cairo

Can anyone suggest an apt-get method to put my python version back to normal? There's so many python runtime packages, I'm not even sure which ones to look at.
