well, i knew how to flash it by PC, but i am at work now, no USB. anyways to save my N900 life before i get home?

If sliding off Your keyboard exactly in moment, where You see penguin doesn't bring You multiboot with backupmenu (you use it, right?), You're "doomed" to reflash.

hm tried the latest 48 kernel (13 jul) but it crashed my n900. Tried it twice but had to reflash it twice.
Kernel 45 boots up fine.

Interrupt the countdown when u-boot starts by hitting space or any other key and then type 'run noloboot' (without the quotes).

That should boot the maemo kernel.

mine got stuck after nokia logo with the screen lit and nothing happening not even the blinking dots showed up had to reflash. tried it twice.
My hw revision no. is 2101

Found the problem source. Kernel-power-settings is what causing my N900 to stuck after nokia logo without it my n900 is booting fine.

Same problem, solved with reflash... only power kernel without settings

I kept the previous version of kernel-power-settings installed and did not install the p48 version - working fine.

ive updated to all latest ver 48 (13/7), no probs... had one unexpected crash/reboot with 10/7 version though... dual booting with meego, using backupmenu too
