@peterleinchen I will try as you have suggested but most surprising thing was I also faced similar issue when I tried in kubuntu on same laptop.
It gave following error.

Hello,

I tried to follow the recommended steps to flash, using a Mac. This is what I get:

Success as far as the eye can see, but when I boot the device I get yellow waring sign and an error like:

"Device not working properly

Try updating the device software with Nokia Software Updater...

Security problem (aegis-exec):
/usr/lob/libaegis_crypto.so.1.0.0"

Any idea on how to fix this ? I tried the suggested NSU on Windoze, but it fails at the end of the update - after it reboots the device gets hung on the NOKIA logo.

Also I should mention, that flashing on Mac seems to randomly fail at various percentage of completion. The run above is a rare struck of luck, after a few retries.

What's the normal usage for "flasher -R" ? Should the phone be left connected to USB after it boots ? I read at http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...75&postcount=1 that it should be yanked out of USB.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks !

Hi all,
I decided to write here, because I have a big problem.
My N9 (product code: 059J203) suddenly stopped reading the SIM cards two days ago. Moreover, system is freezing and IMEI info is not visible.

I decided to reflash the phone. This is the log:

C:\Program Files\Nokia\Flasher>flasher.exe -F DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM.bin -f

Same problem here, since NOKIA released the cmt update...
So Nokia bricked my N9 with their last update :-/

I flashed the phone with a higher higher release number (I think swiss firmware version), but also there I wasn't able to correctly flash cmt.

I think, I need a way to completely erase and restore the whole device but I don't think this will ever be possible.
