Will people stop complaining about Nokia's lack of support now?

BTW, dead OS my @ss!
Nice information, and it clearly put some context to Nokia's support... a bit biased, as there are almost two times more major Android updates as there are iOS updates. Also, iOS updates stop 3 years after hardware release (well right at the end of the graph)
If we consider "green" the last two android updates (ie, less than a year, or less than an iOS update), the My-touch and Droid are almost full green for 2 years, and the nexus one, droid and Evo are likely to reach 2 years as well.

N900 1 year of support was still disappointing, as I see 7 android phones that did better, so it's barely middle range

I've got to admit that I think I prefer it in all-black, myself.

Looks like Negri is the place to go. So far, they seem to be deliverying PROMPTLY on orders. I was skeptical but now I'm impressed.

I'm almost excited ... assuming preorders don't outnumber the stock delivery, my N9 64GB should ship tomorrow ...

Another N9 64GB orphan has found a new home.

It has no proud N9 mark but I decided to save this one from becoming a back alley Lumia.

Here are some pictures to entertain you all.

Set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/69122168@N07/

Price paid: 20900 THB / 487 Euro about 2 weeks ago I believe.

Carried in from Bangkok by somebody trying to escape wet feet.

First impression:

underwhelmed by the design
There is no way you can put it down on a flat surface without scratching the small support point.
Don't even think to put it down on the screen.

Main material is cheap plastic and so does it look.

In fact it looks like the plastic is a place holder for the real body.

Maybe a customised qoating is a good idea but to deserve that it will need to prove its self first.

We all know how those typical cheap chromed plastic parts look like in time. If you live in a high humidity climate it may start to give away its secret within a year

The screen pixel density is worse compared to N900, Pre3 and there seems to be ghosting in my copy.
My reading distance sure will need to be increased to prevent eye hurt.
The color rendition is terrible (yellow shade at best, green shade under angle) and close to that of the N8. Must be that typ of screen.

Long live the Nokia person that has decided on the screen of the N900 against all hype.

The devices is a little too large for being that thin and feels less comfortable to hold. N8 user have confirmed this.
The great thing is that it is very pocketable.

On the software I won't give much opinion yet, need to play around first.

I am very surprised to like (rather not hate) the typing on virtual keyboard. Big relief.

Happy to see it memorize multiple Skype accounts.

And the batch photo upload function is still there.

Bad point for the back arrow one needs to hit to go up in a menu.
This should be a swipe back movement on bottom of screen like on Pre 3. WebOS, they got that nailed.

The back arrow just doesn't integrate with the otherwise slick interface.

ste-phan: thanks a lot for your initial thoughts - in your pictures it looks extremely cool though. Do you mind sharing where the device you got was made in, as in which country?
