New Pure Maps is out: 2.0.0

Extended changelog: https://github.com/rinigus/pure-maps/releases/tag/2.0.0

In short, changes in the build system could have introduced some bugs. Please file issues if something is broken now after this update.

Thanks, but what's the point if OSM server is broken?

It is not broken for me. I am still on SFOS 3.3 as I am using unofficial port. An advantage of these ports is that we can update when OBS target for 3.4. will appear, same time when I can update OSM Scout Server. But it is your choice to jump on 3.4. before that.

Yes, I know. Sorry, it was meant as a mild poke at myself. I rushed to the OS update and now I am paying for it. Luckily I won't need to navigate anywhere anytime soon.

But If you have to, you can use OSM Scout app from Karry. A very good alternative. I use both apps OSM Scout mostly for navigating offroad, while I use Pure Maps when I'm on the road. Anyway both work fine for both scenarios.

Hi rinigus, I would like to send a Geocaching coordinate to Pure Maps. On GitHub I read something like geo:latitude, longitude.
What would be the exact way to do this, from a QML app?

2 ways:

call command (python can be used for it): pure-maps geo:12,21

use dbus to access dbus API. In this case, you can also name POI using title option for relevant method.

note that dbus-activation has not been implemented

As OBS target for 3.4. has been added, Pure Maps and mimic are available for testing at

http://repo.merproject.org/obs/home:....0.24_armv7hl/

and

http://repo.merproject.org/obs/home:....0.24_armv7hl/

As I don't have a way to test it yet, please let me know if it works.

I presume mapbox-qml and harbour-pure-maps. mimic for tts.

However, I have not heard any complains regarding pure maps nor mapbox-qml. Either I already forgot about them or it works just fine on SFOS 3.4
