According to sarahn's test (see prev page) gaia does not assert the vbus pin but only sets the id pin bit if both vbus and id are sensed. Could you check that?

which is the limit of the N900. I'll try again with another less power-hungry device.
EDIT: again, no success with a 100mA SD card reader :-(

i test it 8GB a-data stick and it is sensed always but 2GB Kingmax SuperStick trigger to the peripheral mode and because 5v is on on vbus ( external ) this trigger pcsuite / mass storage selection menu !!!
i don't know yet why this happen
