Hey, on a side note, if anyone needs a screenshot or two hosted for posting here, you can post it to my image gallery on my site (www.raiden.net/gallery/) It's a moderated submission system, but I am pretty good about getting to those quickly.

I love my N810, and the ability to personalize it in almost every way...

EIOffice mobile looks very interesting. Where did you get the missing application packages needed for the install?

Downloaded, installed (no dependencies) ... seems a alpha.
Opened partially a .doc and a .xls, but large portions lacked.
No "new file" menu.
Not usable by now.

Well, you got further that I did. Installed missing application packages in red pill mode, and then the eioffice deb seemed to install OK. However, after attempting to launch - nothing.

The lack of easy office compatibility has been one of my frustrations with the N800. It's got plenty of horsepower, compared to my Palm TX, which can open and print native MS and other docs, but difficult to do without workarounds on the N8X0. Oh, well..

When trying dpkg -i and the package name (either with or without http://...) I still get that it can find such an application or directory.
Help please.
