majors mask always worked and mario 64 with a little overclock runs at over 60fps
whats the improvement in this build?
it seems to cause more harm than good?

That is an incredibly bad idea and can result in parts of your OS being completely out of whack.

Don't install it then! It's in EXTRAS DEVELOPMENT. The improvements have been stated at least a dozen times.. just because you can't see them in the 3 seconds of gameplay you probably played doesn't mean they aren't there.

As to all those having troubles updating... don't update. As is it provides a little more stability for the game, but you should never, ever run an -f upgrade.. especially if you don't know what your doing.

This update only modified the mupen64plus emulator itself, not the graphics plugin: which is what is causing the issue. If you grab the old GFX plugin Zelda will work (you'll probably find it on javis' ftp site as v0.0.3 and then chuck plugins directory (to which you'll find the address in the mupen64plus.conf file in /home/user/mupen64plus).

Seriously, don't do it. I'm gonna re-flash tomorrow tolclear up my Python pandamonium. But hey, it's all part of the game when messing around with apt-get. It's a play with fire and sometimes ya get burned kinda thing.

If you don't want do that that, uninstall the applications that are having issues then reinstall them. That fails: uninstall the dependencies it has and reinstall.

Specially NOT with extras-devel enabled.

/me wonders what would happen if I reenable the workaround now, depending on libsdl-ttf2.0-0 again.

That did the trick! Had two different python 2.5 dbus packages that were to blame. All my python based apps seem to be just dandy once again!

To all the n00bs out there: Don't be like me and run random commands you see on the forums as root unless you like to re-flash or spend your Sunday picking through apt-get dependency failures.

Mupen64Plus is not starting at all after the update.
When I click on the icon, it is loading and closing a few seconds later again.
What could be the problem here ?
