Hi All,

Of course something has to go wrong every time. New build published with the space bar issue fixed.

@ohrn
thanks for the new version....
To me, the offline issue still remains...

(while opening a local html page it asks for an internet connection, if i refuse, opera closes - verified with evopedia)

Any suggestions to solve this?

@ohrn

Is it technically possible to redirect a YouTube-link to CuteTube if you tap on
a link in Opera? Or a link to Spotify to open in Qspot.

Since we don't have flash it would be nice if it was possible.
I love Opera and never use Microb since it's sluggish as hell on my device.

Anyhow,thanks for keeping Opera alive

I think i have seen a variant of this from time to time. If i close Opera using the in browser exit button, it saves what page i am on. So the next time i open the browser it will try to go to that page. Now if i stop that, the connection it initiated in the background still goes on connecting. And once the connection is set up, Opera closes. This is on a N800 btw. And i could have sworn i reported it to the Opera bug tracker. But as it is not searchable i can not go back and check.

I can't use ctrl-c on non-text field area (have to use "select" -> "copy" onscreen).

sorry...

Searching and searching again i found that Opera Mobile requires an internet connection to open http://localhost ...ON ANY PLATFORM.....

So i may suppose that my tests with the previous version were made while connected to the web...

Now i prepared a little wrapper script for who is using opera like default browser....
so:

mv /usr/bin/opera /usr/bin/opera.orig

vi /usr/bin/opera

and past inside:

#!/bin/sh
if echo "$@" | grep wiki | grep 8080 |grep "127\.0\.0\.1"
then
# evopedia tweak
##### option 1
/usr/bin/tear "$@"

##### option 2
#filename=`basename "$@"`
#wget "$@" -O "/tmp/$filename.html"
#opera "/tmp/$filename.html"
#rm -f "/tmp/$filename.html"
else
/usr/bin/opera.orig "$@"
fi

-----------------------------------------

chmod 777 /usr/bin/opera

Now, inside the wrapper there are two options:
1 use tear only for evopedia
2 (interesting trick) pick the page and load as local file
(this choice has a little issue because pointing on a link inside a page the result is page not found - while starting from an evopedia search everything works)

I posted here because the same trick may be used with other browsers or offline situations.

i know at present we can only get 1-opera, 2-mozilla, 3-IE, 4-mask mozilla and 5-mask IE but how to get iphone UA (websites) ?

thanks
I have been trying to find this out as well. I have done alot of researching over the last few hours and have only come up with results just like TransTech.

I have been able to change the User Agent for MicroB, why doesn't this apply to Opera as well?

How do we/is there a way to change the way Opera displays sites to the iPhone layout because I much like the layout but much dislike the device.
