Hehe, a few of us are technically a year older than when we ordered as I know several people in this thread had their birthday in November.

I for example was 29 when I ordered, now 30 and expecting shipping by the time I reach 40.

Incidentally, MPD ship by Royal Mail Special Delivery NOT Recorded, which unfortunately DO charge more for Saturday deliveries. So I do not think our chances are good of getting it before Monday.

I would happily pay a little bit more for Saturday delivery at this point, but MPD do not seem to give that option presumably because they would not necessarily be expecting to ship on a Friday.

Its annoying though, when I got contract phones (much much cheaper ones than the N900) before they were delivered on Saturdays.

If Voda, the webshop@mobilephonesdirect.co.uk address (including your order number) is the way to go. It said that in a previous email from them.

Check you asked to do the port of course as it asked you when you signed up the very first time you put your order in
I'm with T-mobile, and I definitely asked for a port, but I searched my emails for 'PAC' and none of the others I got mention it, even though I ordered back in september. Are you sure that I'll be able to do it after I get the phone?

EDIT: Got it off asda and sent it to them anyway.

They still ain't calling it a phone though

EDIT: Got the email too!!
Good so my device will last me till this same time next year after my 12 month contract.....= second half of next year(december) + delays =dec/jan . Would be pointless to release next version of same device till at least the 12 month contracts are honoured. Anyway I got my email (generic) so will have to put up with THIS device till then.

I have a problem,
hopefully i should have my n900 by monday,
therefore i'm about to order an invisible shield.
problem is when i get the n900 should i apply the invisible shield straight away, or wait a while to check out the phone.
The problem with applying straight away is that i might end up with a faulty/buggy phone that needs to be replaced, hence the ruin of a £15 invisibleshield.
The problem with not applying straight away is that the phone might get scratched, and that would very much scratch my heart aswell.

What should i do?

got the shield waiting at home, i'm going to apply it straight away because a scratch on the screen that i have to live with for the term of the contract will piss me way more than spending £15 on another shield

Be very, very careful and check out your phone first- whilst sitting down and holding over the settee. When you're sure- THEN apply your cover. To be honest, it should come off anyway without marking it.
