I guess he meant to say that currently nobody is developing a new whatsapp client for meego harmattan or working on existing projects like wazapp, whatsup or persecute....

Then, copy the .db file again on your N9, launch wazapp and wow all your contacts will be there.
I dont use whatsup because it is slow to start. With wazaap, 2 seconds...
