Sept 16 (got my email from Amazon just a few minutes ago). Just standard operating procedure at Amazon for long-to-fulfill orders.

but does this suggest anything about a delay until November? Or is it that if we confirm now we will still get it shipped ASAP aka the End of October rumor.

The date in the email is just another 30 days out. Has nothing to do with expected delivery time.

Ah, didn't think about it in that frame of reference..... I thought it meant that it would cancel your order in November if you did not approve of the charge..... in my mind that meant that it wouldn't ship until then cause they can't very well cancel it if they've shipped it to you

@shaun132: don't worry, some of us are already thinking of modding the n900 to accept next gen cpu\gpu and beyond.

No point in really reading that link considering like 99.9% of the replies are people saying it can't done, solely because you can't get that particular chip.

Found out the deal with that, they send you an update order email after exact one month from your initial order date. so thats why they said november 15th that would be another month from today, that has nothing to do with the shipping date or anything.
the date you ordered your phone you will receive that email from them
